LOST SOUL

I wish to dwell in the soul but waves of life are casting me away;
How hopeless I am, lost in the sea of passion, how hopeless I am so far away from home.

Perhaps a prayer will do (it always does) to calm those rough currents of water, or surrender to the flow of Providence should mitigate the furry of the sea.

Whatever, whatever is going to happen, I know myself and You know me, we both know each other – Don’t we?

Just float and be.

The Goddess of Shelter

All living beings wander in the cycle:
from life to death, from death to a new life;
seeking warmth, shelter and comfort in each other.
Can you separate warmth from the flame?
Can the comfort of the body be permanent?
Can shelters withstand the test of eternity?

I alone wander dire straits,
the roads despised by many;
seeking no comfort, nor warmth, nor shelter.
For the flame is burning bright in me-
I meditate, I salute, I seek shelter in Sri Lakshmi!

The Bridge

Don not build a home on a bridge-
Between birth and a certain death;
For life in the eternal frame of time is
Less than minute, less than mind-
Old bridges don’t stay
And new ones are built for new ways.

“But where do I belong”?
From deep within my soul,
A quest so strong, a thirst so parched-
Wide-open eyes of sleepless nights could not
Find an answer that would satisfy.

“Is life a dream?” I had panicked.
“In the recess of your soul lies the indestructible bridge
That only the pure traverse-
For they have no weight of sin,
Neither are they stopped by kith and kin.”
Was the answer.

“How do I find it?” I asked
With an eagerness of an innocent child-
And before I could hear an answer,
It downed upon me that
I am already standing on it
By the sheer desire
To be with Him.

Narayana

In this world all living beings cry - only when being sad or when being joyful.

Better be the later, for the death will come sooner then you think.
Neither your spouse or children, nor the riches might help you when you’ll be gasping for your last breath in utter confusion, trying to understand where will you go and what all will happen.

This is the moment of truth, the reckoning you’ll be facing, again and again in the cycle of your birth and death. Don’t you think this is a misery? Only fools might think otherwise!

Don’t hesitate to surrender to the lotus feet of Lord Narayana-the husband of the Goddess of fortune who dwells in Vaikuntha, an eternal sphere far beyond the senses and the elements found in this world of perpetual decay; with His lotus eyes he vanquishes the sorrow for in His realm there is none.

Come, come with me, don’t hesitate for a moment before its too late.
Drop what you have, forget the sins, grief, pleasures and pains for they do not belong to you, as you are eternal and free as ever you have been.

Come, come with me, for the wise this world is just a playground of the Lord and an abode of misery for those ever embodied souls devoid of mercy and compassion.

Come, come with me, I have no secrets to keep for they are none for those who see Vishnu everywhere. A small step will change your life and you’ll shine in your own true splendour-as the servant of the Lord of Sri.

So, stop crying now.
